A simple daily check for your venue’s vending area
Why a quick daily look helps
A few minutes at the start and end of each day keeps a vending area running smoothly. Machines are simple to operate, but small things can still go quietly wrong. A coin that sits in the slot, a unit that looks low from across the room, or a kids ride with something loose on the floor are all easier to catch during a quick check than when someone tells you later.
A short morning check
- Give each machine a press to confirm it responds and accepts coins correctly.
- Check the display window is clear and the unit looks well stocked from eye level.
- Look behind and underneath for spillages, packaging or anything a child could reach.
- Test that any kids ride powers on and behaves normally.
- Make sure the area is clean, dry and free of trip hazards.
A short closing check
- Wipe down the fronts of the machines and the surrounding area.
- Check the windows for stale items that may need rotating.
- Make sure nothing is left resting against machines or blocking access overnight.
- Note anything unusual so a fuller service can pick it up.
Let us know if something is off
You do not need to worry about fixing these machines yourself. MightyVendingUK keeps them stocked, serviced and maintained, so the job of your team is simply to spot anything unusual early. If a machine looks stuck, is not accepting money correctly or a kids ride will not start, let us know and we will deal with it.
Placement matters too. If you are new to vending, our guide to placing a machine is a good starting point.
